A recent graduate of the ADC, Bridget is a compassionate and knowledgeable birth and postpartum doula with a heart full of kindness and a genuine passion for empowering families during their transformative journey into parenthood. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and guidance carries through from pregnancy into to the fourth trimester.
The unwavering empathy and deep compassion that Bridget possesses are the foundations of her doula practice. Recognising the unique needs and desires of each family she works with, Bridget is able to tailor support to meet the individual preferences of each parent-to-be. Whether it's offering emotional support, assisting with comfort measures during labour, or providing evidence-based information, she is committed to nurturing and empowering families throughout the entire birth experience.
In the postpartum period, Bridget continues to be a steadfast presence, offering guidance and reassurance to new parents as they adjust to their roles and navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood. She provides practical assistance, such as feeding support, baby care education, and light household tasks, all while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes self-care and emotional well-being.
Aside from her practical knowledge, Bridget has an innate ability to create meaningful connections with those she works with. She aims to foster relationships where families feel comfortable, understood, and supported, creating a safe space for open communication by ensuring that clients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their decision-making.
Bridget believes that so much of universe’s power lies within the birthing parent, and her aim is to help them bring that power to the forefront of their being in order to create the birth experience that is as in-line with their ideal as possible.
Bridget also offers Reiki healings, believing the connection between mind, body and soul is of the utmost power, and is one that we can utilise and harness from within our earthly bodies to assist with whatever it is we are going through.
