I am a certified doula and I found my passion for all things pregnancy & birth related when trying to navigate the public system as a vulnerable pregnant woman myself. I completed my studies through Australian Doula College.
I truly believe everyone deserves to know everything that COULD happen during your birth experience, you deserve to be given all the information and you deserve to be able to make an informed decision to birth the way you want - and to be able to feel informed/in control if things don’t go as planned.
My first baby was born with a heart condition and lost his battle at just 3 months old. His name was Leo, he was our tiny warrior with the strength of a lion. Leo the Lion is my inspiration and essentially the reason I stumbled into this industry - and so Lionheart was born!
I have a special interest in high-risk/complicated pregnancies, homebirths, caesarean birth, VBAC and all the ‘normal & boring’ births in between! When I’m not nerding out over everything birth & pregnancy related, I am spending time with my family - looking for the next outdoor adventure, eating yummy food, reading books or just sitting around listening to my daughter’s hilarious jokes!
